The Pokémon Company held its 30th anniversary Presents live stream today (2/27), and it did not disappoint. We had some news about the Pokémon Champions game coming soon, Pokémon GO, Pokémon Unite, and more. While those are great, the real meat and potatoes ended the live stream. Looking at a sketchbook, we see Pikachu’s past adventures. Locations we’ve previously been to and explored. Then, we see a beach. We’ve been to beaches before, but this seems different. Oh, that is because it is! Pikachu reveals to us Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves. The newest in the series! Lush jungle biomes with relaxing water surrounding. We get to see 3 new starters in this entry. Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua.

Personally I am SO stoked for Pombon. It also looks like my dog, so, I may be biased.

This is huge news for Pokémon fans alike as we were all expecting a reveal for the 30th anniversary. Among the release of Pokémon Fire Red and Pokémon Leaf Green on the Switch today, it’s been a great day to be invested in these Pocket Monsters.
