New World: Aeternum just got another maintenance update that rotates Season 9’s newest PvP game mode, Capture the Flag, with Outpost Rush. These will be switching up hourly to give players a chance to play each without worry of the player base being divided in queues for PvP.
The update also brings a few fixes for bugs and issues within the game to give us a smoother experience. The recent patches and updates bode well for New World as the recently released roadmap has a ton of new content coming its way. Read the full release notes below!
Release Notes
• The modes Capture the Flag and Outpost Rush will now rotate on an hourly schedule on the activity finder. In addition, these modes will rotate through maps. Please note that if a player is in queue when the modes change, they will remain in that queue and not be automatically be placed in the active mode’s queue. Players will need to re-queue for the active mode.
• Fixed an issue where players were unable to move their camera and perform certain actions after leaving Capture the Flag game mode.
• Fixed inaccurate collision for Tier 1 Luna and Astra gates in Outpost Rush Coral Divide map.
• Fixed an issue where Bear and Wraith summons could hit the Oil Vats while attacking gates in Outpost Rush.
• Fixed an issue where the Crescent Wave artifact projectile was incorrectly triggering the Unrelenting Onslaught Greatsword ultimate.
• Fixed an issue in which players could get stuck on the View Worlds screen.
• Fixed an issue where Maudlinbug Swarm incorrectly prompts “Right Button” or “DPAD Right” when playing with controllers.
• Fixed an issue where Hammer of Yeet artifact could sometimes deal more damage than intended.
• Fixed various crashing issues.
