Making money in Crimson Desert early on can feel pretty slow. Especially if you are just picking up random loot and hoping it adds up. You can only sell so many grasshoppers.
Honestly: Some methods are way more efficient than others. Even if they are a little..sketchy.
If you want to build up your coins quickly, here are some of the fastest and most reliable ways to make money early in the game.
Quick Ways to Make Money Fast (Legitimately)
If you want the fastest methods right now:
- Complete early quests (best consistent income)
- Sell high-value loot (don’t hoard everything like I did)
- Focus on fighting bandits and Points of Interest
I held on to a pair of gloves WAY too long just to realize they sold for 11 silver. May not seem like much but it definitely adds up if you forget to check your inventory for things you really don’t need.
Fighting bandits and other enemies often rewards you with coin pouches you can open to gain more money quickly.
The Easy Gold Bar Method (A little nefarious but quick)

The good guy life isn’t cutting it for you? Good news. Early on you can head right on over and into Lioncrest Manor in the first city. Turns out, the guards do not mind if you scale the manor itself and hop into a window.

Make sure to equip your mask so you can perform a little thievery inside.
Throughout the manor, you’ll find a few things to assist you:
- Jewelry (a specific strongbox you have to complete a puzzle to open on the second floor)
- Weapons/Armor (a sword in the guest house and shield in the treasure chest in the manor itself)
- A shiny gold bar
To get the big prize, the gold bar, you have to head down to the first floor of the manor and go to this fireplace:

Make sure no one notices you as you are stealing otherwise you will be sent right to jail. If you’re okay with that, note that you will actually still get to keep the gold bar in your inventory.
How Much is the Gold Bar Worth?
The gold bar can sell for 190.00 silver and that definitely seems like a lot. But wouldn’t you want 500 silver instead? What about a gold bar with investments? Here’s how:
- Take the gold bar to the bank in the city
- Speak to the banker
- Trade the gold bar for 500 silver.
- OR invest the gold bar in a strongbox in the bank.

And there you have it! Some legit ways for an upstanding citizen, and one easy but not-so-legal way of going about it. Pair them together and you’ll be rolling in the riches in no time.
