Pokemon Legends: Z-A Gameplay and More REVEALED

Nintendo and The Pokemon Company just revealed a bunch of new Pokemon Legends: Z-A details during the Pokemon Day 2025 Event. This includes actual gameplay, characters, starters and more! I’m personally very fond of maps and we got this really cool map of Lumiose City!

There was also a trailer, of course, as well as all the details listed on the website. Here are the few that caught my eye:

New Ways To Battle

Your trainer and Pokemon will now move around in REAL TIME (think of Dragon Quest 11) and your Pokemon will attack at your command. With new ways to strategize, battles will feel more intense and true to an actual fight compared to turn based options. This sounds very exciting and I cannot wait to get into the action!

Wild Zones Within The City

New designated Wild Zones are placed within Lumiose City to offer Pokemon ways to live with humans and for humans to, well, capture the Poke-friends. Special areas are marked for your capturing pleasure. With certain mons running away on sight or some looking for a battle, the open world Pokemon experience looks to be improved greatly here.

The Starters

When arriving in Lumiose City, you get to pick between Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile as your first Pokemon to adventure with!

All in all, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is looking to be a great Pokemon experience and I cannot wait to get my hands on it when it release globally in 2025.
