If you have never got the joy of experiencing RuneScape back in 2001, you may have missed out. MMOs in that era of gaming felt fresh and unique. RuneScape was it’s own thing for sure. Jagex has been lovingly and dedicated to building a huge community base now for 25 years. Spanning and launching bigger games like RuneScape 3, Old School RuneScape, and the most recent, Dragonwilds. So what is next? Well. RuneScape 4.
Announced officially at RuneFest, we got our first look at the 4th generation of RuneScape. Set in the world of Gielinor, RS4 will start us off in the recently explored Ashenfall. Ashenfall appeared in Dragonwilds and we are expected to expand to way more than just this zone.
I recently got back into RuneScape thanks to Dragonwilds. There is something about the world and lore of the game that I absolutely love being a part of. With the announcement of RuneScape 4, I am thrilled and excited for what is to come. Even though it may be a few years off, there will be plenty of announcements and news to drop that we will share here on Don’t Revive Your Friends.
RS4 comes after the announcement of RuneScape Ignited which will be a complete refresh and remaster of RuneScape 3. Players will be able to jump in and experience everything again or for the first time starting in December.
